I’m Emma Vernon, Executive Director of The Cedars Union. I’m honored to be a part of this incredible team and enjoy having a chance to learn about the wonderful work that happens in our creative community.

I’m a native Dallasite with Government and Art History degrees from UT Austin. After working for a short time in politics and marketing, I shifted to non-profit administration when I took a role on the development team at the Dallas Museum of Art. Most recently, I worked as Senior Director of Individual Giving at the Dallas Zoo and I’ll always be passionate about animals, conservation, and the natural world. I’m also proud to have served on the boards of VideoFest and Texas Vignette.

When I’m not working, I enjoy tending to my houseplants, eating delicious food, watching F1 racing, going to museums, crafting, and generally being a curious human.
